Sneaky enough that CA will take hits, yet still doing 50% of the CA health for a single hit. I also suspect that deep water torps are going to be way too good against CA. You don't generally torp DDs while in a USN DD, you shoot DDs with guns and torp BB/CA. Ok, the not hitting DDs is a tiny tiny cost. Especially if they otherwise are similar to USN DDs.īetter damage, lower detection, doesn't hit DDs. If they hit CA and BB they're a no brainer. How will they not obsolete the USN DD's that they share stats with- and given that especially Fletcher already is kind of OP relative to the other destroyers, how will this be balanced?

But they deal much more damage, and lower detectability makes them functionally superior against battleships and cruisers. Yes, they don't hit destroyers(they already hit most cruisers anyways, don't see the purpose of this change). As an objection to the PADD line that actually has any bearing on the game, I fail to see how the tradeoff that deep-water torpedoes make is sensible for the game.
